I am writing a blog (perhaps and column if all goes well) about McCain's running mate Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin. My editor asked me if I wanted to, and I said yes. I'll post a link to it when it's published.

Your Dad said to me there is no way he could vote for a 72 year old man who would pick the little girl from Wasilla as a running mate! All my colleagues were amazed today and betting on Obama. Most of the students too. The Anchorage news outlets were delighted of course...check out the Walt Moneghan firing by Gov. Sarah.
